The event included a keynote, expo, a variety of activities, and over 35 breakout sessions and workshops with interactive content.  

Amazon Web Services AWS unveils several attractive technologies at its AWS Summit event.

The participating teams utilize AWS technology to develop their own Reinforcement Learning, the RL machine learning technique that enables their race car to drive on its own by using a single sensor configuration on a race track. The winners or the top racers will receive prizes and advance to the regional championship and ultimately, the AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup.
